star struck concept posters

These were the first pieces of concept art I created for my idea back in early October. they really helped push my idea, as I was struggling to really get a style for what I wanted on the project to look like. Eventually I just began to create this simple sketches having a really cute and wholesome look been inspired by the animator puuung. And also been inspired by the design of kirby giving the characters simple rounded heads and oval eyes. I wanted to give the overall piece a very dream like and whimsical style which was something I would continue to do in later concept pieces. During the early version of the project the story would focus on the boy been on the moon and the girl been on earth however I thought this was a bit generic so I tweaked it throughout production.

The other version of the posters I tried to experiment with using lineless art, as I felt like the black lines didn't work well with the overall style and when I removed the lines form the piece I felt like I had really captured that magical and whimsical look I was going for and this became the overall basis for the rest of the project.
